Prevention > Youth Crime Action Plan (YCAP)
In July 2008 the Home Office published
the Youth Crime Action Plan, designed to approach
the issue of Youth Crime from a number of different
perspectives. The £100m cross government plan is
divided into 7 elements and is delivered by a wide
range of services.
Within Kirklees the Youth Offending Team are working
alongside many other agencies and services to
deliver the Youth Crime Action Plan agenda including
West Yorkshire Police,
Young People’s Service
(YPS), Schools, Streetscene,
Kirklees Early Years Service (KEYS),
Kirklees Anti Social Behaviour Unit (KASBU),
Safer Stronger Communities etc.
The Youth Crime Action Plan is split into 7
elements:

Think Family

Family Intervention Projects (FIP)
Both of these above elements are related to parenting work and as such are co-ordinated by KEYS.

Operation Staysafe

Street Based Teams

After School Patrols
-
YOT Workers in Custody Suites
-
Reparation in Leisure Time, Including Friday and Saturday Nights
