Programmes
Kirklees YOT co-ordinates and delivers a wide range
of programmes or interventions with young offenders and those at
risk of offending. All are designed to help
the young people re-engage in a positive way.
When a young person is
sentenced at Court there are a number of
requirements that can be attached to a Youth
Rehabilitation Order. One of these is the Programme
Requirement. The Court will only make such a
requirement if it has been recommended by the Youth
Offending Team. Any young person made subject to
such a requirement will be expected to participate
in a set of activities.
There are nine programmes offered to the Court by Kirklees Youth Offending Team as requirements of a Youth Rehabilitation Order. The central aim of all nine programmes is to reduce the risk of re-offending. Most of the programmes are tailored to address either specific offending behaviour or the issues for young people that contribute to them offending.
The programmes delivered by
Kirklees Youth offending Team are:
2 - The Young Women and Offending Programme
3 - The Diversity Programme
4 - The Fire Safety Programme
5 - The Motor Vehicle Crime Programme
6 - The Sex Offender Programme
7 - The Street Crime Programme
8 - The Domestic Violence Programme
9 - The Alcohol and Offending Programme
