Programmes > Reparation
Reparation Orders are designed to help young
offenders understand the consequences of their
offending and take responsibility for their
behaviour. They require the young person to repair
the harm caused by their offence either directly to
the victim or indirectly to the community. Examples
of this might be cleaning up graffiti or undertaking
community work. The order is overseen by Kirklees
YOT.
The YOT has recently worked with National Trust to complete reparation projects on Marsden Moor. Click here to see the article that appeared in the NT members magazine.
This project has also been featured in an article in the Yorkshire Post (19 March, 2010) - read the article here.
